A private residence, which sets the benchmark: the subterranean house is not only flooded with light but also designed to meet the mobility requirements of the owner.

A curved glazing skylight of approximately 120m² (1,300ft²) centered in the inner rooms provides pleasant natural lighting to the swimming pool below.

Moreover, a complex technology is employed to operate the automatic “pop-out & slide” doors. The 1.80 x 5.00m (6 x 16ft) doors glide smoothly and safely and thus open the building to the garden and drive-way. Despite their impressive size the elements have been delivered completely pre-assembled in order to simplify the installation process considerably on site.

Seele developed a special safety system for the opening mechanism in joint collaboration with their co-operation partner.

Transparent sun blinds, sophisticated tilting and revolving swing doors in the interior and large-scale glazed canopies round off the organic and functional design of the estate.
